Behind the Name – Amity

Amity is a Candis undies best seller this month! The design comes as blue panties and pink panties. But why is this design called Amity? Let’s look behind the name – Amity.

We name each Candis pretty underwear design, but we don’t choose the names at random. We conduct careful research to determine which names best suit the collection. Firstly, we assign a letter to each collection, and we give each design within that collection a name starting with that letter. Finally, we choose the final names from a shortlist based on the names’ meanings. Every name chosen reflects the everyday sexy designs and the Candis Woman.

Candis Creation’s opening collection of women’s lace underwear has been allocated the letter A. The five names chosen for the pretty lingerie designs that debuted in the collection are: Amity, Alice, Alexis, Angelica and Annabella.

Meaning of the Name Amity

Amity is of Latin origin and means friendship. Friendships are support mechanisms for women. Good friends are something we value and seek out. The two lace panels on the front of Amity ladies’ undies reflects two friends.

Why friendships are important

As Beyonce says,

I love my husband, but it is nothing like a conversation with a woman that understand you. I grow so much from those conversations. 

Female friends add value to our lives. We confide in our close friends. They’ve seen us laugh, cry and dance on the podium! We look forward to our catch ups and conversations. Friends give us fresh perspectives, can be honest with us and help us deal with our emotions. We can discuss anything together and know we genuinely have each other’s best interests at heart.
