Launching a small business starts with a dream. I launched Candis Creations women’s underwear online because I dream of revolutionising the way we view and think of sexy lingerie. This dream started out as simply an idea. But with support and encouragement, the idea grew and became a reality. I’m not living the dream yet though. Starting a business is only one step. A company has to be successful in order to make the dream come true. And that’s where you come in!

A recent TikTok video made me laugh out loud. The video showed two girls working in their locally-owned shop. When a customer walked out of the shop after having made a purchase, the two girls bobbed down behind the counter and did a happy dance! It made me think, “it’s not just me!”. You probably don’t realise the impact you have on a person when you support their small business. But I can assure you, it’s significant! When you buy from a small business, you are supporting someone’s dream.
